School-Based Workshops
Recognizing the need for on-site training, Safe Schools South Florida sends trainers to individual schools and/or to school district divisions and departments to present workshops for faculty and staff. These workshops range from 90 minutes to 4 hours and offer a high-level overview of the information contained in the Safe Schools & Bullying and Sexual Minority Issues 101, 201, 301, 401 and Transgender Issues Workshops. Particular issues are highlighted based on input from department heads or schools' counselors and administrators. Whenever possible, Safe Schools South Florida attempts to provide student/adult panels for personal insights for trainees.
