Safe Schools South Florida is a founding member and the designated in-school trainer of the Miami-Dade Alliance for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (GLBTQ) Youth. Financed by The Children's Trust (TCT) of Miami-Dade, the Alliance for GLBTQ Youth has studied the services available in Miami-Dade to meet the needs of this underserved population. A nine month study resulted in a proposal to TCT to fund a comprehensive continuum of services. The study results and recommendations were submitted in August, 2007. A response is expected by the end of the year.
